Job Description:
Purpose of the Job: Deputy Manager will be responsible for Client management, Team management, New client transition, MIS & Logs updation, Efficiency improvement of the accounting process.
 
Essential functions & responsibilities (but not limited to):

Job Description

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations (bank, credit cards, intercompany)
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and on time
  • Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Reconcile and manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting
  • Collaborate with U.S.-based finance teams and clients to resolve accounting and compliance issues
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations (FASB, IRS) and ensure compliance
  • Guide and review work of junior accountants and provide mentorship
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on finance-related deliverables.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of accountants/analysts.
  • Monitor team performance against SLAs, KPIs, and quality benchmarks.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardization.
  • Exposure to ASC 606 & ASC 842

COMMON MANDATE POINERS –

  • Candidate should be ready to work in US shift
  • Mode of Work: WFH (Will have to come to office on need basis)
  • Excellent English communication (Will interact with US teams)
  • Core R2R experience with expertise in Revenue Recognition
  • Basically combination of  - client handling + team handling + revenue recognition (MANDATE)

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in accounting, FP&A, and audit support in a BPO/shared services.

  • Experience handling international clients (US/UK/EU/AU)

  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)

  • Team management (5+ years)

  • Excellent communication and Excel skills

  • Multi-entity / multi-currency accounting

  • Outsourced accounting / shared services experience

  • Exposure to ASC 606 & ASC 842

  • Flexibility for extra hours when required

 

 Educational Qualifications: BCOM / MCOM/ MBA/ Inter C.A. (not pursuing C.A.)/C.A.

 Work Experience: 5-8 years Accounting Background, Preferably having experience up to Finalization of Accounts and handling a team.

 Other Prerequisites:

  • Required to work in US shifts. Based on business/project requirement will work in US hours.
  • Prior work experience in MNC & matrix organization
  • Should have Valid Passport.
