Job Description:

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Routine work:
    • Maintain all safety related data and reports (Accident investigation data, Risk analysis data, Safety audit report, MPCB data, fire extinguisher and fire alarm report, Acidic & narcotics department report, Form nos. 27 documentation etc.).
    • Take safety round at various departments in every alternate day & do a thorough inspection
    • To insure safe work place environment without risk to health.
    • Ensure the company meets its statutory obligations in the area pertaining to health safety & wolfram at work.
    • Ensure that all the accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements are implemented. Inspection of first aid box, safety shower, all type of detectors.
  • Periodic/Frequent role:
    • Maintain all types of bill payment and filing work once in a month (PWD bill, water bill, meter reading etc.)
    • Arrange safety training program 10-15 times a year (First Aid training, Firefighting training, on-set emergency training, process safety training, equipment driving training etc.).
    • Arrange medical health checkup program once in a year.
    • Conduct firefighting, mock drill training twice a year.
    • Arrange safety related programs (safety week, safety related quiz, competition etc.) twice a year.
    • Check fire alarm system quarterly basis.
    • Stake monitoring.
    • Arrange a safety committee meeting & ensure all the agreed points are completed within the deadlines.
  • Occasional work:
    • To issue work permit to maintenance for height related work or during machine installation on safety related measure and issues.
    • Carries out other related activities.
    • Does other jobs assigned by management from time to time.
    • Assist in implementation and maintenance of EMS certification.
    • Assist in Quality and Social Audit.

Prerequisites: (Qualifications, experience or relevant knowledge required e.g. Industry)

  • Graduate in relevant discipline and Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Health and Safety
  • 6 - 7 years of work experience in similar job position
  • Industry: Chemical / Pharmaceutical industry
