Sr. Accountant (FS)
Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team, providing essential support across RTR, financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing professional services firm by conducting detailed financial analyses, managing core accounting functions, and ensuring the preparation of accurate financial statements and general ledger reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will assist with the record-to-report (R2R) process, data analysis and contribute to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Financial Reporting: Generate standard financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and perform monthly variance analyses to monitor trends, providing insights for decision-making.
- Record-to-Report (R2R) Functions: Support the R2R cycle by posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing entries and reconciliations, and investigating open items.
- Consolidations and Reconciliations: Support monthly and quarterly consolidation processes, including intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries, contributing to efficient month-end and year-end closing.
- Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Assist in preparing budget and forecast reports, aligning with departmental goals and business strategy.
- Cash Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and liquidity management.
- Data Analysis: Conduct analyses on financial data, extracting insights to support informed operational and financial decision-making.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Assist with the preparation of documentation and reports for internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Process Improvement and Automation: Participate in projects aimed at streamlining financial operations through automation, simplifications, and enhanced controls.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams (e.g., FP&A, Accounting, Operations) to drive financial efficiency and accuracy.
- Ad hoc Projects: Undertake additional financial analyses and special projects as directed by management.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field/CA Inter/MBA.
- Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in accounting, finance or FP&A roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and basic functions) and experience with general ledger software. Knowledge of BI tools will be an added advantage
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data and detect errors or inconsistencies.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience summarizing financial insights clearly.
- Software Familiarity: Experience with QuickBooks/NetSuite/Sage will be an added advantage.

Working Conditions and Environmental:
- Working Days: 5 days - Monday to Friday
- Working Hours: 9 hours (US work Shift Pattern), Hybrid (mix of WFO & WFH).
- Travel to other company locations or client offices may be necessary, as well as physical presence at company meetings with other offices throughout the globe.
