Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 Migration Expert to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Tenant-to-Tenant migrations, tool-based migrations, Active Directory migrations, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Exchange, and SharePoint migrations. This role is critical in ensuring smooth and efficient migrations, minimizing downtime, and maximizing the benefits of Microsoft 365 for our clients.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform migration to Microsoft 365 from multiple source environments like Google , Exchange, Tenant to Tenant migrations etc  using SPMT and third party tools like Sharegate, Metalogix, BitTitan , AvePoint or any other tools.
  • Migrate content to Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange, OneDrive SharePoint, MS Teams etc.)
  • Implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and compliance of M365 environment.
  • Perform premigration checks.
  • Creation of Microsoft PowerShell and PnP scripts for both day-to-day activities and migration specific tasks.
  • Perform post migration checks.
  • Coordinate between stakeholders during the migration phases and help achieve project outcomes.
  • Evaluate and remediate issues in complex content migrations.
  • Work independently, should be able to handle the migrations without any support.
  • Creation of console application which are required during migration.
  • Ability to offer solutions for migration projects schedules, including analyzing workload inventory, applications migration, comparing reports, metadata mapping and import, custom sites migration and further assist with configuration support in migration of Office 365 workloads.
  • Perform unit testing.
  • Highly collaborative team player with few overlap hours between Europe & US Time zones
  • May require after-hours and weekend hours during active migrations & cutover activities.
  • Project Management: Lead migration projects from initiation to completion, maintaining timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction.
  • Technical Support: Provide post-migration hyper care support and troubleshooting to ensure a smooth transition for clients.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, configurations, and client-specific settings.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients throughout the migration process, addressing any concerns and providing regular updates.
  • Must be proficient in migrations like:
    • Tenant to Tenant Migrations: Plan, execute, and manage tenant to tenant migrations ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
    • Tool-Based Migrations: Utilize industry-leading tools to facilitate efficient and secure migrations of data and applications.
    • Active Directory Migration: Conduct thorough Active Directory migrations including user accounts, group policies, and security settings.
    • Entra ID Management: Implement and manage Entra ID for secure identity and access management.
    • Microsoft Intune: Deploy and configure Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
    • Microsoft Exchange Migration: Plan and perform migrations of mailboxes, calendars, and contacts from on-premises or other environments to Microsoft Exchange Online.
    • SharePoint Migrations: Oversee the migration of SharePoint sites, libraries, and content ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

 Experience & Skills Requirements:

Work Experience: 

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in M365 Administration & Migrations
  • Should have worked as a Cloud Migration Engineer Level 2/3 and hands on Cloud Migration experience.
  • Should at least have 7+ years of total working experience in related field.
  • Must have good Hands-on experience of SharePoint Migrations
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, EntraID concepts
  • Strong concepts about DNS, DHCP & other common Microsoft services.
  • Very strong experience in Setting up & Managing Intune.
  • Must have experience in performing migrations using third party tools such as Sharegate, Metalogix, BitTitan, AvePoint or any other tools.
  • Good to have Experience in Network drive \ File Share migration to SharePoint Online (One Drive)
  • Good to have hands-on experience to SharePoint custom development and Power Platform Application (PowerApps, Flow and Power BI)
  • Having migration experience in migrating Google workspace to M365 is an added advantage.
  • Good experience in SCCM – MECM tools is an added advantage.
  • Good experience with SharePoint OOTB (meaning with no customization, just adding web parts, columns, views, 3rd party web parts or apps, etc.) in classic and modern SharePoint sites
  • Good to have experience in SharePoint Framework SPFX with React.
  • Good knowledge in PowerShell scripting and SharePoint API utilization.
  • Excellent knowledge of SharePoint Online security and user groups.

Educational Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Certifications:

  • Must Have – MS-102, MD-102, AZ-104, Powershell
  • Desirable – SC-400, Azure, AWS,

 Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional remote work and travel to other company locations as needed.
  • Schedule: Full-time position with occasional after-hours support for critical issues or scheduled maintenance.
  • Work timings will be primarily UK & US Business hours.
